Azerigas, State Gas Supply Company, has announced that it has cut off supply to 325 defaulting customers on April 16.
The company officer Vagif Namazov told APA-Economics that the board meeting passed a decision forcing regional gas supply departments to increase the bill collection rate.
Most of the customers left without gas are residents of Absheron, Naftalan, Hajigabul, Aghsu, and Neftchala.
Azerigas had announced that it would cut off the supply to all defaulters, beginning from April 16.
The average collection rate for gas was 44% in March in the country. The company expects that the amount of gas supply will decrease because of coming hot weather and this will help to raise the collection percentage. /APA-Economics/
