Vladimir Kazimirov: Nagorno Karabakh conflict can not be solved in 2008

He briefed journalists that Nagorno Karabakh conflict can not be solved in 2008.
“Only the most courageous person can hope to the solution of the conflict this year. But irrespective of it, negotiations should be continued. If you remember, we called 2006 window of opportunities opened for the solution of the conflict. But now we should think about how to use window of impossibilities,†he said.
Mr. Kazimirov linked impossibilities with the forthcoming presidential elections in Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russia and U.S. Former co-chair stressed that several issues were solved during negotiations, but the main issues remain unsolved.
“Each of the conflict sides has its priorities. The status of Nagorno Karabakh is priority for Armenia, occupied regions and return of the refugees for Azerbaijan,†he said.
The diplomat added that restoration of military operations is impossible at present. /APA/
