Police officers detain Akif Nagi and 15 more GLO members, use force against reporters

GLO chairman Akif Nagi and 15 more GLO members were detained and taken to police sttaion. This aimed to remove protest action that GLO planned for protesting against Armenian Interior Minister Hayk Arutunyan’s presence at the meeting of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers.
The police also forced reporters from APA, Trend, Dogan news agencies, ATV and Khural newspapers, who wanted to cover the situation, to get into the bus by the order of colonel lieutenant-official of Narimanov police department who did not introduce himself. This action led to a conflict between the reporters and police officials. The reporters were released in the bus after being kept there for half an hour.
Akif Nagi and 15 more GLO members were also detained yesterday and released after being warned. /APA/
