Ali Hasanov, head of State Committee for Refuges and IDPs, deputy Prime Minister said despite the talks of recent years on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, no serious progress has been made on this way, APA reports.

The status of Nagorno Karabakh may be discussed after it”. Ali Hsanov indicated the importance of Azerbaijani people’ support on the issue. “President carries out his promises he made in 2003 presidential elections. He sated if Azerbaijan follows destructive way, the war will become alternative for talks. Ilham Aliyev’s views make us sure that the problem will be settled soon. But Azerbaijani society should demonstrate its will too”.
Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov emphasized that destructive way will lead to the removal of peaceful talks by war option. He also said Azerbaijan is not interested in the liberation of occupied lands stage by stage. According to Deputy Foreign Minister, there is no doubt that occupied territories will be liberated. “Despite the consequences of the war, our country is developing quickly. If we had not conflict, the level of development would be much higher”.
