Azerbaijani taekwondo practitioner Gashim Magomedov's successful performance in Paris continues, Apasport.az reports.

Gashim Magomedov, competing in the 58 kg weight category, participated in the semifinal stage of the competition.

Here, his opponent was the Italian Vito Dell'Aquila. At the end of a tense match, Gashim defeated the reigning Olympic champion with scores of 9:4 and 11:1.

Azerbaijani representative Gashim Magomedov, who competes in the 58 kg weight class at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, has reached the quarterfinal stage of the competition, APA reports.

This time, he faced Spanish athlete Adrian Vicente. Azerbaijani athlete won with a score of 2:0 (11:5, 13:11) and advanced to the semifinals.
