"Armenia will discuss Baku’s invitation to participate in the 3rd CIS Games," said Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, APA reports citing Sputnik-Armenia.
“The decision on this issue depends on a number of factors, including security. Once an appropriate decision is made, we will make it public,” the minister said.
It should be noted that Aygul Aghayeva, Head of Security and Operations at Baku City Circuit Operating Company, stated that Armenia's participation in the III CIS Games to be held in Azerbaijan remains uncertain: “We send invitations to countries. However, Armenia’s participation has not yet been confirmed. If there are any updates in the next stages, information will be provided.”
Recall that the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games will take place at the Ganja city stadium.
