Luis Lacalle Pou, the President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay has congratulated the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day, APA reports.
The letter reads:
"On the occasion of Independence Day, on behalf of the Uruguayan people, the Government of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, and myself, please accept our sincerest congratulations and best wishes for peace and well-being for your noble nation.
Furthermore, I would like to note that our countries have established remarkable bilateral relations, and I am fully convinced that they will continue to strengthen based on cultural and political ties, as well as cooperation.
I take this opportunity to renew to you, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest respect."
