An oral report by British MP Robert Walter was heard during the meeting. It was decided a report on Nagorno-Karabakh to be prepared by rapporteur Walter.
Earlier, Walter had visited to Azerbaijan in the context of the preparation of his report on Nagorno-Karabakh, however the Armenian authorities denied his entry to the country and Nagorno-Karabakh region. The Armenian side does not want a report to be prepared by the British rapporteur.
Addressing the committee meeting, Samad Seyidov, head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE, said a written report will be prepared on Nagorno-Karabakh.
Seyidov said that Walter made a report on Nagorno-Karabakh today, and the Assembly called the denial of the rapporteur’s entry to Armenia a disgraceful step.
He went on to add that the Armenian delegation attempted to cover up its lies through various pretexts, but it failed.
