The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved on the basis of the relevant resolutions of the United Nations, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told a press conference following his meeting with his Estonian counterpart Sven Mikser, APA reported.
The minister said he informed his Estonian colleague about the conflict and the negotiations.
“The UN resolutions call for the unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan’s territories. The issue of sovereignty noted in these documents is a common interest of ours. All negotiations must be resolved on the basis of international norms and principles, and all UN member countries must abide by it,” said Mammadyarov.
