Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick has commented on the ceasefire violation during the OSCE monitoring on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.
The reported gunfire near OSCE monitors in Nagorno-Karabakh is a clear violation of security guarantees from the sides, J. Warlick wrote on Twitter, APA reports.
Note that, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army during the monitoring conducted under the mandate of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on the contact line near Horadiz village of Fuzuli region on January 14, the Defense Ministry told APA.
Field assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov, who conducted monitoring on the Azerbaijani side, said that in compliance with pre-determined rules for monitoring, units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan didn’t open retaliatory fire on the enemy and necessary conditions for the completion of the monitoring were provided.
