Baku. Melahet Najafova – APA. “Armenia’s holding a concert, presenting its aggression against Azerbaijan and bloody ethnic cleansing of more than one million Azerbaijanis under the guise of "Nagorno-Karabakh's independence", is nothing more than an attempt to justify their crimes against humanity and acts of genocide.”

Spokesman for Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev made the remarks while commenting on the concert on “Nagorno-Karabakh's independence” to be held in occupied Azerbaijani territories, APA reports. He said that organizers including Giuseppe Verdi's "Messa da Requiem" in the program of the concert, don’t know that this composition reflects human tragedy and end of those who commit evil deeds against humanity. The premiere of Verdi's “Messa da Requiem”, to be held in Khankendi on September 1, can be only compared with performance of this work 16 times between 1943 and 1944 by prisoners in the concentration camp of Theresienstadt (also known as Terezín). Unlike the Terezin Concentration Camp, in the concert to be held in Khankendi, Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, who tends to low royalties in a manner unworthy for a true art figure and prefers material values to moral values, and Yana Safonova, Vishnia Radosav, Nicola Uliveri and others will act as performers. Unfortunately, these persons become a tool in the promotion of ethnic cleansing against the Azerbaijani people. Their illegal acts cause reproach of international and Azerbaijani community. Organization of the concert while workers can’t receive their small amount of salaries in the so-called regime fully controlled by Armenia for more than six months, Armenia is facing serious socio-economic problems, is only deceiving itself and the international community. With such provocative actions, Armenia once again shows that it is not interested in the peaceful resolution to the conflict and establishment of peace and stability in the region,” he said.

A concert dedicated to "Nagorno-Karabakh's independence" will be held in Khankendi. The author of the project is Russian opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya. Armenia's First Lady Rita Sargsyan is author of the idea and organizer of the project.
