Baku-APA. “Peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains a priority for the European Council,” said Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council, in Yerevan at a joint briefing with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on July 20, APA reports quoting news.am
The parties have had discussions on a broad agenda, including the need of a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. “Recent negative trends remain a cause for concern, and the EU continuously supports efforts for reconciliation and dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Tusk said.
Both sides need to respect the ceasefire agreement, he added.
