Member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, Ganira Pashayeva asked Ivanić whether Bosnia and Herzegovina would play more active role in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh during its chairmanship of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers or not.

Ivanić said that the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict mainly depends on Azerbaijan and Armenia.

“I believe that as a small country facing various conflicts in our history, we can assist in resolving the conflict. Small countries may be not so strong to present a ready-made solution to the conflict, but we can contribute to the sides through our experiences. However, the conflict’s settlement fully depends on the two sides. Moreover, Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot do anything, so our country does not have a huge impact. We will continue to develop relations with both countries, and try to assist in building relations between the two countries”, he stressed.

Bosnia and Herzegovina tries to establish friendly relations both with Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Ivanić.

“We have very good relations with both countries. Recently, I have visited Baku to attend the inauguration of the European Games. Azerbaijan invests in Bosnia and Herzegovina and supports several projects related to the employment of foreigners in the country. This is a very good step,” he added.
