Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. “The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs have announced 6 elements. The French President spoke about the mutual trust during his visit. Haven’t we had mutual trust with the Armenians? Haven’t they lived in our most beautiful lands, represented in all positions? How can the mutual trust be?” Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov said at the event on the 22nd anniversary of Lachin’s occupation, APA reports.
Hasanov said that each time they raise a question and discuss it for 5 years. The Armenians put forward the issue of self-determination as a national minority within Azerbaijan. Does Azerbaijan objects to it? No, but what is the question about? The Armenians are living in Russia, Iran, Georgia, the U.S. and Europe. The Armenians occupied Lachin under the guise of creating a corridor and Kalbajar under the guise of creating a buffer zone. The Armenians co-exist in Stavropol and Krasnodar regions of Russia and does it mean that a corridor should be opened between Armenia and Russia. Should a corridor be opened in the U.S. and Europe where the Armenians co-exist? Should we want a humanitarian corridor in the country were millions of the Azerbaijanis are living? When did we want a corridor for the Azerbaijanis living in Iran? Why doesn’t any country in the world call on the Armenians to come to the right path? The essence of today’s so-called proposals is protraction of the settlement of the conflict. Each co-chair works for 3-4 years, visits the region as a tourist, gets large salaries, and then leaves post. Azerbaijani President is strengthening our economy and army despite the international disgusting policy. Only Azerbaijani President and our army can liberate this land.”
Hasanov said that no country is insured against such issues: “Therefore, solidarity of our people is important. Azerbaijani President is doing it relying on the people. We will definitely return to our occupied regions and Lachin.”
