Mingachevir. Elvin Yagubov – APA. Under the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the release of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev, taken hostage by Armenians, an official appeal has already been sent to seven international organizations, including the UN Secretary General, heads of the Council of Europe, the European Union and the OSCE, president of the International Committee of Red Cross, UN High Commissioner for Refugees and chairpersons of human rights commissions. There is no organization left in the world to which I haven’t sent an appeal on behalf of the Azerbaijani government.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, APA’s local bureau reports.

The deputy PM said all international organizations have already responded to the appeal.

“Some of those responses contain ideas that contravene the norms of international law, while others have taken a positive approach to the matter. Some organizations took a formal, bureaucratic approach to the issue, some apologized for what happened and some took an objective approach, condemned these acts of Armenians and considered them illegal. Some consider that these acts of Armenians run contrary to the international law. I will give these answers to the press in a few days. Let them to be disseminated and reveal the deeds of international organizations. I always say that most organizations were created by some countries to ease their works. Every international organization has its own obligations and it should fulfill them. Unfortunately, they don’t or can’t fulfill their obligations,” headed.

Hasanov also noted that the authorities always focus on the release of captives and hostages: “They are being held hostages in our territories, in Shusha. Our local NGOs, human rights organizations initiated appeals to the Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights regarding the hostages. As a government, we are contributing them. All legal steps will be taken in this regard.”
