The head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev has commented on the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers held in New York, APA reports.
The head of the community said that they have great hopes to this meeting as an Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
“We have high hopes due to past meeting of the ministers. We believe that these negotiations will lead to a concrete result. If the potential for negotiations is not exhausted, the continuation of these negotiations and the use of opportunities for the peaceful settlement of the conflict has great importance”, head of the community stressed.
It should be noted that a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia took place in New York, which was held with the participation of co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (RF), Stefan Visconti (France), Andrew Chauffer (USA) and personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the existing negotiations with the understanding that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs should expand efforts to establish peace in the region and respect international norms, principles and rules.
