Elnur Aslanov: â€œOnly in Yerevan, one can be blindly stubborn and fail to see the collapse of the stateâ€

“How else can we explain that the ordinary citizens of Armenia, who every day face the tyranny of bureaucrats and depravity, nepotism and bribery of oligarchs, can take seriously the babbling of the Armenian Foreign Minister?”

Recall that at the press conference yesterday Edward Nalbandian advised Azerbaijan “to catch the departing train” hinting that the position and proposals of Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict became old and got stuck in the middle of the 90s.

“I wonder what Nalbandian exactly meant comparing the current realities of Azerbaijan with 90s of the past century? It is difficult to believe that an official representing Armenia in international community, seeing the growing influence of Azerbaijan in the region and world, tries to play down the development of Azerbaijan. Feeling the failure of their strategies in all directions, the Armenian Foreign Minister has started working with Joseph Goebbels’ method, author of “The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it”.

The representative of the Presidential Administration noted that the collapse of economy, large foreign debts and deep social crisis lead Armenia to the collapse. Despite the fact that businessmen MPs and other officials did not immediately register the business in their own names, everyone knows who owns what in Armenia. If Nalbandian falls from the cloud of dreams and see the realities of Armenia, he can see what his citizens face everyday. He can see how Armenia, isolated from the world because of the whims of official Yerevan, degrades and moves into precipice. According to the “Forbes”, the economy of Armenia is in the “honorable” second place among the worst economies in the world.

Elnur Aslanov said that Armenia is only demonstrating stubbornness: “We see only stubbornness of Armenia, official Yerevan doesn’t want to confess lack of basic development indicators and deepening of precipice in the society. As a result of it, they attempt to show Azerbaijan as a threat to the Armenia people. When these methods don’t justify themselves, they accuse Azerbaijan of violating the negotiations. All these factors make difficult the development prospects of the region, exhaust domestic resources of the modern Armenian society.”
