“Despite all the difficulties Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev extended his hand of peace to Armenia and demonstrated his good intention. Our dear President, as well as we reiterated that if there is lasting peace, as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia we can normalize our relations,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu attending the 8th meeting of Russia-Turkey Joint Strategic Planning Group held in Sochi said at the press conference, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.
Reminding of the signing of the memorandum on the establishment of Russia-Turkey joint center on monitoring ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, the head of the MFA noted that several steps should be taken including six format: “I believe that after these steps are taken we will achieve lasting peace in the region. Thus, it is possible to achieve economic development in the region.”
