"We need a lasting solution in Nagorno-Karabakh," German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said in his speech at the PACE winter session within the framework of his country's chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, APA's Europe bureau reports.
He said that Germany is ready to contribute to the process within the OSCE Minsk Group and help find a solution.
"We continue to work with our EU partners in the context of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Eastern Partnership, hoping that both countries can reach an agreement.
Even after the peace was achieved, there were difficulties faced by both countries. Any progress in the process will depend on the will of the two countries to enter into a dialogue with each other, and we certainly support this process. We know that the process has an impact on stability in both countries and the region," Maas said.
