â€œAzerbaijani community of Nagorno Krabakh region of the Azerbaijani Republicâ€ appealed European Students Forum

Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijani community of Nagorno Krabakh region of the Azerbaijani Republicâ€ has sent an appeal to the President of the AEGEE - European Students Forum Luis Alvarado Martinez. APA reports that the Community expressed its protest over opening of the AEGEE representation in Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh region, which was occupied by Armenians and exposed to ethnic cleansing.

The appeal features that the documents adopted by all international organizations, especially the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and European Parliament towards the settlement of the Nagorno Karabkh conflict confirm the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan: â€œWe should say that opening of the AEGEE representation in inseparable Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan is unacceptable for us. Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh region and the other 7 regions for 20 years and still keeps under occupation.
Armeniaâ€™s aggression against Azerbaijan and keeping 7 surrounding regions under occupation contradicts international legal norm and principles. No state has recognized the so-called â€œNagorno Karabakh Republicâ€. Opening of your organizationâ€™s representation in this region is also illegal. We both ask and demand you to look through this issue again, because such initiations can damage not only negotiations process, but also the future development of the region.â€
