Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line ceasefire violated 137 times last month

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire 137 times in July, 2012. According to the results of the APA’s monitoring based on the reports confirmed by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed, five were wounded, including two hit a mine. One soldier was captured.

The ceasefire was violated mostly in Aghdam frontline in July. Armenian armed forces fired on the positions of Azerbaijani Army and settlements for 36 times.

The ceasefire was violated for 24 times in Fuzuli, 21 – in Goranboy, 7 – in Jabrayil, 5 – in Khojavand, 4 - Terter, one – Goygol.

Intensive ceasefire violation on Azerbaijan-Armenia border was observed in Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. The units of Armenian army violated ceasefire for 20 times in Gazakh, 8 times in Tovuz, 8 times in Gadabay and one – in Agstafa and one - in Dashkasan.

Las month the fact of ceasefire violation was observed on borders of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan with Armenia.

Totally, Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire for 851 times in January-July, 2012. Intensive battles took place in all directions throughout the frontline during a week in June.

Two servicemen of Azerbaijani Army were captured by Armenians this year, 16 servicemen and one civilian were wounded and 12 servicemen were killed as a result of ceasefire violation and mine explosion.
