International experts to be involved in preparation of evaluation report on damage caused by Armenia to Azerbaijan

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. The 3rd international symposium on theme â€œAssessment of damage and losses caused by interstate conflictsâ€ has been held today.

APA reports that the event was held on the initiative of Public Union â€œInstitute of Socio-economic ideasâ€ and Azerbaijani Society of Appraisers. In his keynote speech at the event member of the Board of Directors of Eurasian Appraisers Council, MP Khanhuseyn Kazimli underlined that determination of damage caused by Armeniaâ€™s occupation to Azerbaijan and informing of international organizations on it must be included into the important activities of the government and civil society. According to him, Azerbaijan has already started this process: â€œReport on evaluation of damage caused by Armenia to Azerbaijan will be made in near future with the participation of international experts.â€

Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov noted the importance of studying the international experience for evaluation to meet the international standards. Hasanov noted that Azerbaijan must immediately finish the evolution process: â€œThough, this calculation was made previously several issues were not considered. Thatâ€™s why the proposal of MP Khanhuseyn Kazimli to the President on conducting new evaluation was considered. President Ilham Aliyev gave a task to conduct new evaluation. Hasanov underlined that the large conference on this topic will be held in Azerbaijan with the participation of the international organizations.â€

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Society of Appraisers Ibrahim Guliyev, vice-president of Russian Society of Appraisers Igor Artemenkov, as well as several NGO representatives participated at the event.
