Baku. Rashad Suleimanov – APA. A special international criminal court must be established due to the events of Khojaly, said Jean-Paul Murman, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Belgium, at the international conference “Crimes against the humanity: Khojaly genocide” which was organized by Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) and Joint Working Group for the Implementation of International Standards of Human Rights, APA reports.

According to Mr.Murman, such courts were established on Kosovo, Lebanon, Iraq and others: “Such experience exists at the international level. They are not a local court. The international experts should be involved, the investigations should be carried out and relevant decisions should be made here. The perpetrators of these crimes should be found and punished.”

Jean-Paul Murman said that the support and protection of the perpetrators of such crimes by some states, giving them passports cause such crimes in future: “The perpetrators of this barbarism have already been identified, but the decision on this issue has not been made in the past 20 years”.
