British Aerospace to provide technical maintenance in airport built in occupied territories of Azerbaijan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Armenians involved foreign experts in organizing trainings for the personnel of Khankendi airport located in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, chief of aviation office of separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh Dmitry Adabashyan told Mediamax agency, APA reports.
He said a group of foreign experts were providing assistance to organize multi-position system P3D. The second group of experts organized trainings on installation of fourth-generation meteorological devices brought from Finland.
Dmitry Adabashyan underlined that the separatist regime worked for acquiring the plane. According to him, the United Kingdom’s British Aerospace Company would provide technical service in the Khankendi airport: “The main work has been already finished. I hope that the airport will be opened till the midyearâ€.
Armenians started to construct the main building of Khojaly airport in 2008. Though the opening of the airport was scheduled to May 9, 2011, the opening was postponed till the uncertain date because of technical problems.
Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Administration announced that the construction of airport in the occupied Azerbaijani territories and the flights which will be organized to Khankendi from the other countries without Azerbaijan’s permission were illegal. Official Baku said that it would take legal measures against the planes flying to Khankendi without Baku’s permission, including their physical destruction.
