The remains of martyr Alaskar Mirzaliyev, who went missing during the First Karabakh War, were handed over to his family today, APA's local bureau reports.
The martyr's remains were brought to Jojug Marjanli village in Jabrayil district.
A farewell ceremony was held for the martyr, and funeral prayers were performed.
The ceremony was attended by the martyr’s family members, as well as representatives of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Special Representation in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, the district Executive Authority, law enforcement officials, military personnel, and members of the public. After the farewell ceremony, the martyr’s remains were brought to Lalatapa cemetery in Jojug Marjanli village for burial.
The National Anthem was played by a military orchestra, and a gun salute was fired. The martyr’s remains were laid to rest.
The State Flag draped over the martyr’s coffin was presented to his brother.
Note that Alaskar Farzali Mirzaliyev was born in 1969 in Jojug Marjanli village, Jabrayil district.
He joined the battles during the First Karabakh War.
He went missing in October 1993 during fighting in the Jojug Marjanli village area of Jabrayil district.
Alaskar Mirzaliyev was buried as an unidentified martyr in the Shammadli village cemetery in Imishli district.
