Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye Yashar Guler met with family members of Garabagh war martyrs, APA reports citing the official website of the ministry.
During the meeting that took place in Ankara, Yashar Guler expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs who showed great bravery, heroism, and sacrifice for the integrity, security, and peace of Azerbaijan.
"The Turkish nation, throughout its millennia-long glorious history, has shown every kind of self-sacrifice for its national values, even sacrificing lives when necessary. The Azerbaijani Turks, with hearts aching from the wound of Garabagh, have preserved and defended their homeland, their rights, and their land in a way that befits our forefathers."
Minister emphasized that the Azerbaijan Army has written a glorious and indelible history: "With their combat capabilities, they proved to be an invaluable force for the stability and security of the Caucasus region."
Yashar Guler also touched on Azerbaijan-Türkiye brotherly relations: "Azerbaijan and Türkiye are two states and one nation connected by historical, cultural ties. Azerbaijan's strength is our strength, and Türkiye's strength is Azerbaijan's strength. As Türkiye, we have always stood by Azerbaijan and will continue to do so in the future."
