An Azerbaijani delegation is participating in the 2nd Central Asia Media Forum, held under the theme “Central Asia in the Era of Global Challenges. Media as a Tool for Strategic Development”, APA reports, citing the Media Development Agency.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The agency’s Executive Director, Ahmad Ismayilov, delivered speech during the panel session titled “Central Asian Media: New Growth Points and Cooperation.” He emphasized that, in the modern era, the media environment is rapidly evolving under the influence of geopolitical dynamics. Information significantly shapes public opinion, guides political discourse, and plays a crucial role in managing socio-political processes.
Ismayilov also highlighted the importance of initiatives aimed at enhancing media literacy, promoting ethical journalism, and strengthening regional media cooperation. These efforts, he noted, are key to meeting global challenges and building societal resilience against disinformation in today’s rapidly changing information landscape.
The Forum, taking place on April 16–17, focuses on themes such as regional media cooperation, global media development, shaping the future information landscape, digital transformation of media in the era of AI and data flow, and the role of social networks in promoting national image.
