On September 24, the delegation led by the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Ahmad Ismayilov, met with Asadjan Khojayev, the Director General of the Information and Mass Communication Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of a visit to Tashkent, the Agency told APA.
According to the information, at the meeting, a wide range of views were exchanged on the establishment of effective and large-scale relations between the two states in the fields of media and communication, as well as issues of global importance in the information and communication sphere and the implementation of specific projects being of great importance was emphasized.
The Uzbekistan side expressed its interest in learning the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of media and information, as well as in the tackle against fake news, in this context, the importance of the mutual development of the strategic approach in the mentioned field was brought to attention. During the talks, it was noted that increasing the exchange of news and experience between leading information agencies of the two countries will contribute to the strengthening of the information environment of the countries and the formation of effective methods of combating various information attacks carried out in the media space.
In addition, there was an extensive exchange of ideas and proposals on the measures to be taken in the direction of the implementation of the "Road Map" on the development of cooperation in the field of media between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
