New Georgian edition of Azerbaijani writer

A new Georgian-language edition of the novel "Manifest of a Young Man" by prominent Azerbaijani writer, scholar, and educator Mir Jalal Pashayev has been presented in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.

The book, published by order of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, was presented within the framework of the XXVII International Book Festival.

The work was translated into Georgian by Imir Mammadli, a laureate of the State Prize of Georgia and a well-known translator.

In his speech, he stated that the publication of the book in Georgian contributes to the development of cultural relations between the Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples and is yet another indicator of the friendship between the two nations.

Advisor to the Minister of Culture Orkhan Fikratoglu noted that Mir Jalal is one of the symbols of Azerbaijani literature and that he glorified the idea of Azerbaijani identity and national thought in his works.

The presentation ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev, Georgian and Azerbaijani public figures, representatives of literature and culture, as well as students.
