Skytrax names AZAL best regional airline in Central Asia and CIS again

One of the AZCON Holding companies, Azerbaijan Airlines, has once again been highly recognized at the international level, APA reports.

The national carrier has been announced the winner in the nomination “Best Regional Airline in Central Asia and CIS” as part of the “World Airline Awards 2025” organized by the prestigious UK-based Skytrax.

According to the information, the award ceremony took place on June 17, 2025, within the framework of the international “Paris Air Show” aviation exhibition held in Paris. The event was attended by the heads of the world’s leading airlines and high-ranking representatives of the aviation industry.

“To be honored once again by such a globally recognized organization like Skytrax is a great pride and responsibility for us. This achievement once again confirms that AZAL has further strengthened its position as a reliable airline in the region and is recognized at the international level. We remain committed to providing our passengers with safe, high-quality, and innovative services,” said Samir Rzayev, President of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC.

Established in 1999, the Skytrax award is presented based on large-scale international surveys conducted among passengers. Within the framework of the organization’s “World Airline and Airport Star Rating” program, airlines and airports are evaluated based on the quality of services and products.

Note that Azerbaijan Airlines holds a “4-Star” rating by Skytrax. This status is formed based on independent audits of the service quality provided by the airline, both during the flight and in ground services.
