Middle Corridor countries to sign framework agreement on transit transportation

"An electronic customs registration portal that’s going to provide exchange of information related to transit shipments in advance, will be created between Middle Corridor states," said Natiq Shirinov, Deputy Chairman of the Customs Committee of Azerbaijan as he delivered speech at an international conference titled “International transport-logistics corridor: Development impulses from Zangilan” today, APA reports.

He said that in March of this year, a protocol was signed between 6 countries. According to protocol, including the countries where goods will move along the Middle Corridor into the system, and simplifying transit issues as much as possible is targeted.

“A framework agreement was prepared based on that protocol. It will be sent to respective states to be signed after proper procedures,” Natig Shirinov added.
