The Baku-Shamakhy-Mughanli-Ismayilli-Gabala highway plays a special role in ensuring convenient travel for the population and is considered the shortest main road connecting the capital Baku to the Ismayilli, Gabala, Oguz, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, and Balakan districts.
It was noted that this road, which leads to important tourism regions of the republic and was first built in the 1970s on the initiative of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is being reconstructed based on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.
Note that on May 26, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected the ongoing construction of the Mughanli-Ismayilli-Gabala section of the Baku-Shamakhi-Mughanli-Ismayilli-Gabala highway.
