Starting from September 25, fares for passenger transportation on the Absheron circular route will be increased, Azer Farajov, head of the Passenger Transportation Department of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), said at a briefing for media representatives held at the Baku Railway Station, APA-Economics reports.
It was noted that under ADY's distance-based fare policy, passengers will pay a minimum of 0.40 AZN to reach their destination, which is the lowest fare among public transportation options in the country. Overall, fares on the Absheron circular route will increase by 0.10–0.20 AZN depending on the distance.
It was emphasized that all these innovations are being implemented in accordance with international standards, and the new pricing policy aims to provide safer and higher-quality service.
