Azerbaijan's State Maritime and Port Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held a meeting with the delegation of Vodohod LLC, a leader and tour operator in the cruise industry of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.
The role of the high-level visits, meetings, and events held between the two countries in the development of mutual relations was discussed during the meeting. It was stated that the strengthening of the cooperation between two countries has a positive effect on the expansion of joint partnerships in the field of maritime transport, along with commercial and economic relations.
At the meeting, also the construction of 3 new-generation cruise liners of the Karelia project number 00840, which will be put into operation in 2025-2026 by the order of Vodohod LLC was discussed, and the plan to involve them in future cruises visiting the ports of Makhachkala, Aktau, Turkmenbashi, Baku, Anzali was mentioned.
Within the framework of the meeting which was attended by the representatives of Port of Baku, the simplification of the entry and exit of ships to the ports belonging to Azerbaijan was also discussed.
