Rovhsan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), who is on a visit to Georgia, discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the fields of transportation and logistics with Lasha Abashidze, the newly appointed General Director of Georgian Railways JSC, ADY told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on ensuring the efficient operation of international corridors passing through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia and improving East-West-East transportation.
The parties specially emphasized efforts to increase the transportation of more cargo via the Middle Corridor and the importance of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway line in this regard.
