7-12 mln tons of cargo has been transported through Zangazur Corridor in the past, its potential is huge - Minister

Territories liberated from occupation by Azerbaijan, adding the Zangazur Corridor to the Road Map can be an impetus to the development of the Middle Corridor, said Rashad Nabiyev, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, today during his speech at the "International Transport-Logistics Corridor: Development Impulses from Zangilan", APA-Economics reports.

Minister said that the Zangazur Corridor has great potential as a part of the Middle Corridor in transportation between East and West: "During the Soviet Union, 7-12 million tons of cargo was transported through the Zangazur Corridor. Unfortunately, Armenia has not allowed the opening of the corridor in the last three years, contrary to the tripartite declaration. But there are always alternatives, other options."
