Oleg Krapivin, a Ukrainian millionaire known in the criminal world as “Oleg Bakinski,” who was arrested in Azerbaijan on hooliganism charges, has been released under house arrest, APA reports.

The latest hearing in the criminal case involving Krapivin and Konstantin Kucher was held today at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, presided over by Judge Elnur Nuriyev.

During the session, the court reviewed a petition from Krapivin's lawyer, Kheyransa Babayeva, requesting the hearing be brought forward due to her client's health concerns.

The lawyer asked the court to replace Krapivin’s pre-trial detention with house arrest, citing his need for treatment for hypertension.

The victim’s lawyer opposed the request, stating there were no issues with Krapivin being held in custody.

The prosecutor left the final decision to the court’s discretion.

The court upheld the petition and released Oleg Krapivin from the courtroom under house arrest.

Note that "Oleg Bakinsky" was arrested in Baku last year for alleged hooliganism against a Russian citizen. He was charged under Article 221.3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons, accompanied by violence against the victim or destruction/damage of another's property). A pretrial detention measure was imposed against him.

Later, he was also charged under Article 178.4 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed causing particularly large financial damage).

Alongside "Oleg Bakinsky," Konstantin Antonovich Kucher, who served as Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Industry for Aviation Affairs in 2010-2011, has also been found guilty in the case.

The victims in the case are identified as "Aviazapchast" JSC, "Promyshlennye Postavki Kazakhstan" LLC, and Zakharenkov Valeriy Nikolayevich.
