The remains of Guliyev Jamal, who was believed to have gone missing in the First Karabakh War, were buried in Shahidlar Alley of Lachin district, APA reports.
The body of martyr Jamal Guliyev was taken to Juma village of Sheki district before the burial, where his relatives lived.
Later, the body was brought to the Lachin district for the funeral and farewell ceremony. Alongside the martyr's family members and relatives, local officials, law enforcement personnel, veterans, families of martyrs, and comrades-in-arms attended the ceremony. The funeral prayer was performed, and prayers were offered for the souls of the martyrs.
The martyr's body was laid to rest with great respect under the sounds of rifle fire. The Azerbaijani tricolor flag draped over the coffin was presented to the martyr's brother.
Note that Jamal Guliyev was born on June 1, 1969. He voluntarily joined the army in 1992 and fought in the districts of Qubadli, Lachin, Jabrayil, and Zangilan. He went missing in 1993 during the battles for the defense of Jabrayil district. His remains were discovered in the Khudafarin village cemetery.
