ANAMA worker hits landmine in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) released information about the mine explosion in Aghdam, ANAMA's Press Service told APA.

On December 5, 2023, an anti-personnel mine explosion occurred in the area of Sarıjali village of Agdam district, which was liberated from occupation, while the employee of the Agency, Akbarov Vagif Sabir, born in 1992, was performing his duty.

The injured person was evacuated from the incident scene and taken to the district hospital. The injured person's right leg was amputated below the knee. His condition is satisfactory.


A mine exploded in Azerbaijan's Aghdam, APA's Garabagh bureau reports.

The incident took place today in the liberated territory of Aghdam district.

Note that the person who stepped into the mine is Vagif Akbarov. According to preliminary information, he was injured in the leg.

It was noted that he is a resident of Tartar district and an employee of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).
