“More than 3000 people were harmed by landmines in 30 years,” said Bishnu Mahat, sub regional Weapon Contamination programme coordinator of International Committee of the Red Cross representative office in the Republic of Azerbaijan during the round table on "Protection of persons with disabilities and landmine victims in Azerbaijan," APA reports.
“We have been working in Azerbaijan for more than 30 years. Our main goal is to work with mine victims. In addition, we support the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and ANAMA. We are currently cooperating with 10 mine victims as trainers,” the ICRC representative added.
