“Starting from the 90s of the last century, military-political leadership of Armenia, as well as its armed forces and other armed units, commenced military aggression with the purpose of occupying Garabagh region and surrounding territories of Azerbaijan, including the territories located on the border with Armenia, in violation of international law,” Tural Maharramov, Investigative Junior Judicial Counselor of Especially Important Cases of the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan told journalists, APA reports.
According to him, it was determined by the inspection of the scene of the criminal case that the people who were forcibly displaced from Lachin district at that time settled in the building called "fin house" and 4 huts in the mountainous part of Balligaya village: “They were deliberately killed that night by about 9 armed Armenian soldiers in a generally dangerous way as a result of shots fired from firearms, and then the huts they lived in were set on fire. Victims of the case, legal heirs of the victims, and witnesses were interrogated, and relevant necessary documents were added to the case materials. At present, the preliminary investigation of the case is ongoing”
