A serious car accident took place in Sheki: the father died, and his young child was seriously injured, APA’s Northwest bureau reports.
The incident occurred around 02:00 a.m. on the section of the Garamaryam-Ismayilli-Sheki highway passing through the territory of Sheki district.
Thus, a Mercedes vehicle driven by 1981-born Sheki city resident Tavakkul Islam Shiraliyev crashed into a roadside tree after the driver lost control.
As a result of the accident, the driver T. Shiraliyev, his son — 2016-born Kenan Tavakkul Shiralizade, and the child’s cousin — 2010-born Fagan Shahin Gojayev, sustained various injuries and were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Sheki District Central Hospital. Despite doctors' efforts, it was not possible to save the life of driver T. Shiraliyev.
According to the Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway.
