On June 11 at around 10:30, a road traffic accident occurred in Shamkir, resulting in injuries to two people (one female and one male), who were hospitalized at the Emergency Department of Shamkir District Central Hospital, APA's local bureau reports.
As a result of the incident, the passenger in the vehicle, H. Ismayilova, born in 1994, died. Her child, Ali Ismayilov, born in 2021, and the driver, Sh. Huseynova, born in 2001, were injured.
According to information from the Management Board of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) to APA, the female, born in 2001, was diagnosed with blunt trauma to the chest and upper and lower extremities. The male minor, born in 2021, sustained a crushed superficial wound on the head and nose area and bruises near the knee joints of the lower extremities. Both received necessary medical care, and their conditions are considered stable.
H. Ismayilova, who died in the accident, and Sh. Huseynova, who was injured, were teachers at the secondary school in Deller Jirdakhan village of Shamkir district.
The accident occurred on the section of the Baku-Gazakh-Georgia highway passing through the district. The vehicle went off the road and overturned. Traffic police officers were called to the scene.
