Azerbaijan's MES: So far, no information received about any destruction or human injuries as result of earthquake

According to the initial information received from the Republic Seismological Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on 11.05.2024 at 17:23 local time, 16 km northwest of the Lankaran seismic station, at a depth of 18 km, in Baliton village of Lankaran city, 5.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan released information, APA reports.

Noted that the earthquake was felt at the epicenter with a magnitude of 6 to 5-3 in the surrounding regions.

"Until now, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has not received any information about any destruction or human injury as a result of the earthquake," the information says.
