Measures are being taken by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to turn the liberated territories into safe zones, the Ministry told APA.
It was stated that, following the Patriotic War and anti-terror operations, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are professionally carrying out assigned tasks in order to speed up the Great Return process and ensure security.
Over the previous week, police officers discovered and seized 38 automatic weapons, 2 machine guns, 9 pistols, 14 rifles, 69 grenades, 1 grenade launcher, 61 detonators, 1 bullet, 10 mines, 11 kilograms of gunpowder, 9 night vision devices, 31 bayonets, 26 communication devices, 197 ammunition magazines, 19,986 rounds of various calibers, and other ammunition were found and seized in the territory of Khankandi. Additionally, 4 automatic rifles were found in the Khojavand district; 2 automatic rifles, 1 grenade launcher, 3 machine guns, 4 shell fuses, and 1,050 rounds of various calibers were found in the Fuzuli district; and 6 automatic rifles, 1 pistol, 2 rifles, 7 grenades, 5 detonators, and 160 rounds of various calibers were found in the Khojaly district.
