Measures are being taken by officers of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan to turn the liberated territories into safe areas, APA reports citing the Ministry.
According to the information, in order to speed up the process of the Great Return after the Patriotic War and anti-terrorist operations, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs professionally perform the assigned tasks.
The process of identifying and neutralizing war remnants and sources of danger continues without interruption. The task of cleaning the region from weapons and explosives is one of the main activities of the employees of the internal affairs bodies involved in the service.
With the measures taken, on August 17-24, 26 automatic weapons, 4 pistols, 7 rifles, 44 grenades, 19 lighters, 2 shooting-marks, 2 vision devices, 2 shells, 1 TNT, 3 bayonets, 65 cartridge combs, 2275 cartridges of various calibers and other ammunition from the territory of Khankandi city, a pistol, a shell, 3 grenades, 2 lighters, 4 cartridge combs, 125 cartridges of various calibers from the territory of Shusha city, 2 automatic weapons, 4 cartridge combs and 174 cartridges of various calibers were found and seized from the territory of Khojaly district.
