During September, 40 foreigners living illegally in Baku were detained by police officers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.
According to the report, 40 foreign citizens who refused to leave after the expiration of their stay or residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan were detained.
According to the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses, an administrative offense protocol has been compiled against those persons and they were handed over accordingly.
It was noted that since the beginning of the current year, a total of 413 foreign citizens living illegally on the territory of Azerbaijan have been identified and appropriate measures have been taken against them.
