Border protection and operational-search measures continue to ensure the reliable protection of the state border and to combat illegal migration, the Press Center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan told APA.
According to the information, on August 27 at 18:10, three citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan - Samadi Safi Abdurrahman, Sattari Sifar Khan, and Vakili Muhb Seyfulla - were detained while attempting to cross the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Republic of Azerbaijan in the service area of the Horadiz border detachment of the State Border Service’s Border Troops.
Operational and investigative measures are ongoing regarding the incident.
