Another civilian hits by landmine in Azerbaijan’s Tartar district, leg amputated-UPDATED

"The leg of the person who stepped on a landmine in Azerbaijan's Tartar district was amputated," the surgeon of the Tartar District Central Hospital Mubariz Mahmudov said, APA's Garabagh correspodent reports.

He noted that Azar Mammadov, who was injured by stepping on a landmine, was brought to the hospital and his left leg was traumatically amputated at the level of the shin joint: "First surgical aid was provided and he was sent to the Barda District Central Hospital for treatment".

On February 5, at about 11:00 (GMT+4), Mammadov Azar Ahmad, a resident of the Goyarkh village, Tartar district, stepped on an anti-personnel mine, APA reports.

Currently, the country's prosecutor's office inspects the scene of the incident, and other necessary investigative actions are being taken.

An investigation is underway at the Tartar district prosecutor's office.
