A cargo vehicle driven by a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye, transporting a load of “wall panels” from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Türkiye in transit through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was subjected to a thorough inspection with the involvement of a canine service dog at the Sadarak customs checkpoint of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department, APA reports citing the State Customs Committee.
During the inspection, a large amount of marijuana, with a total net weight of 77 kg 150 g, was discovered in 24 packages wrapped in silver foil, hidden in a "wall panel" cargo vehicle in a way that made it difficult to detect.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
